Holiday Camps

Holiday Camps

  • HOLIDAY CAMPS — SPRING BREAK, SUMMER BREAK, AND FALL BREAK

Our Holiday Camps are available during Spring, Summer, and Fall Breaks.
During these camps, we do a mix of education, art, and play.
These camps are divided into half-day (8-12) and full-day (8-5) camps for PK-8th Graders.

  • Half-day camp: 8-12 p.m.

We concentrate on improving students’ math and reading/writing skills. Not only will students use our workbooks to learn and grow in these areas, but we also use various teaching techniques outside of the workbook that engages them in hands-on learning. During this half-day camp, we set time aside for children to explore and indulge in the arts.

  • Full-day camp: 8-5 p.m.

In addition to improving their math and reading/writing skills, we also work on students’ public speaking skills. For this, students will work on various projects and present them to the class. These exercises work to get them comfortable in front of crowds and is a great opportunity to practice adequate ways to critique each other. During the full-day camp, another long-term project students work on is writing their own book. This project helps them to set daily goals to complete a larger goal. It involves reading/writing skills and gives them time to practice their arts skills. At the end of the camp, students are encouraged to take home their book and share it with their family and friends.

* Ask us for the extended day option.

Teachers and tutors at Rocket City Learning Center are here to create a safe environment to nurture your child/children by keeping our rooms clean and desks spaced out. Students receive breaks between subjects and are allowed to eat the snacks or lunches they bring with them. With a ratio of one teacher to six students per room, this will help to gives students precious one-on-one time.
